Satan's Affair

Listen I actually really liked this. Is Sibby’s story very traumatic and gruesome YES 💯! But there’s something about a badass blood thirsty FMC who kills demons and evil humans in gruesome ways that gets me every single time and then you have Zade😩😩😩

Sweet Sibby. There's something about her that just draws you in, isn't there? It's the pure twist of emotions & thoughts that shine in her eyes.

She's just a girl, wanting a friend & a place to feel safe.

She's Twisted, broken & surviving the only way she knows how; by being a demon slayer. She's unhinged & unapologetic. She knows who she is & it's definitely not crazy.

I enjoyed the prequel. I did read it after finishing the Cat & Mouse duo. I turned to Satan's Affair because Sibby intrigued me so much. If anything, I wished the story was longer. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely a WTF kind of read. Just buckle in & enjoy the ride.

So I took a night so that I could really think about this review. I have settled on 4 starts, but really I think this is closer to a 4.5 star book.

OBSESSED
The main character was so well-written that I didn't mind going on this ride with her. I might have even understood her quest. Although wrong, she made me believe in her. Although twisted, I gave her grace. Although hurt, I just wanted her to heal. Also I love that she sings Ring Around the Rosie considering her mission...Just a perfect song for this character to sing!

This book is not for the faint of heart. The scenes are told with graphic detail, at times I even had to question what I read. Her 'Henchmen' Mortis, Timothy, Jackal & Cronus are also well written which makes you understand their bond.

SPOILERS
So that ending right....I am still thinking about it and makes me wonder what if anything of the last "play" scene was real. I love the fact that at the end of the book, I feel for her while also questioning what I just read.

Also, I love the idea that her "psychosis" allows her to see the world in a way the "normal" people are too afraid to. Lastly, I love that in the end we are left to wonder about the Dr.

All in all a well-written, well-thought-out book and I can't wait to read more from this author.
