I LOVE the BIG books of the Outlander series, but so far the novellas and the Lord John books, so far for me, are a hit or miss. I am happy to report that this book was VERY entertaining and gives us deeper insight on Lord John Grey's brother and father.

Not my favorite Outlander universe story. Interesting characters, but the story is too short to really get to know any of them. Didn’t love the ending. I think Minnie deserved better.

Interesting title, though I am not sure how it relates back. There was an authors note about a character I had never heard of, though I think this one is too removed from the main story line for me to recall. Maybe they only appear in the books, which I have never read. I did appreciate the strong line of feminism that went throughout the book from the main character.
