What a rollercoaster ride of emotion and torment.Liked how we got both POV, loved that we had finally a HFN/HEA. Feel a bit wrung out after reading this straight after [b:Quintessentially Q|18398089|Quintessentially Q (Monsters in the Dark, #2)|Pepper Winters|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1378381640s/18398089.jpg|26026261], think I need something a bit light and fluffy.

Whoa.. the conclusion I didn't know I wanted but desperately needed. After the first two books, I always thought that it was the end, that the epilogue will wrap up everything and give me a HEA. But no. Pepper had to strike my overwhelmed heart with this third book.

Not going to lie, the book is long. Very long. I even thought of skipping a few pages (couldn't, btw). The story keeps you gripped however. Starting off where book 2 ended, there is so much happening in this book that it's really hard to remember whether everything I read happened in this or previous ones. Some major parts were
Tess's nightmares, elopement, Q's crazy ass idea, his kidnapping and the final epilogue
.

It explores the aftermath of the abuse Tess tolerated and how there are still many facades of a person's psyche that are tattered after going through that. The bond between Tess and Q is brutally tested and revenge plays such an integral theme in this book. And it also restores the lack of sexual scenes, just fyi, even though this book too is an emotional rollercoaster.

I love Q. Absolutely, madly love Q. And Tess too. She is so strong and so willful. Battling so many things and overcoming so much. I love their chemistry and intrinsic bond. The side characters in my opinion played a much greater role in this book. They came together as chosen family.

Loved loved loved this book. With all its brutality, monstrosity and passion. A must read series if you can really handle the darkness, because this book is pitch black filled with shimmer.

This book was great too but prob not my fav of the three. I did enjoy it though and lots happened throughout the entire book. You get that final piece to the story in this one with the characters. Pepper did a great job with writing this series :)

This series just undid me. Absolutely fantastic. It's got everything. Super fast paced and twisty. Characters, plot, dark, dark, dark. Outstanding. Can't say enough about it. I will definitely be reading more by Ms.Winters

To tears in the first damn chapter to laughing uncontrollably the next, this series really knows how to get me going, and Pepper Winters is a damn genius when it comes to creating characters you get extremely attached to and fall in love with. Such a deep story and soul crushing events, this book got me flipping the pages endlessly.

Q. Just Q. Nothing but Q. Only Q.

“Je suis à toi. Je suis ton monstre dans le noir pour toujours.”

Such a beautiful story.

I legit cried plenty of times. And I literally exploded in laughter at Q’s inner thoughts. What a mind he possess...

This book is incredibly powerful and affects a person in every way: to experience the gruesome.

Soul-wrenching heart attacks thanks to Q.

I just want to express so much that Q legit gives me life, he saved me in a different way. His and Tess’s love taught me there is nothing you wouldn’t do for love, for they killed for one another and healed each other when they were so far gone.

58. What a beautiful number. Gorgeous. This number itself... oh my lord.

Sparrow.

Beauty exists in pain.

Maître.

Always.

Escalve.

Forever.

Mmm, I don’t know what to say. I have mixed feelings. I truly believe this book shouldn’t have existed or should have been different. It was good but I just feel is one of those books that didn’t bring anything new or good to the story and that exists “just because”, just to publish another one.

In my opinion, the story should have ended in the second book, this third book was completely unnecessary. For me the second book had a great closure.

I had a hard time finishing it which makes me mad because I literally couldn’t stop reading the other two books, I was obsessed, but it didn’t happen with this one.

I found it repetitive and sometimes I found myself avoiding reading it and skipping pages, which didn’t happen with the other two. It’s so long for anything blow minding.

This book is okay, not the best but I had to read it because I just couldn’t live with the fact that I didn’t finished the series.

Still I find the author an excellent writer, I would be reading more from her.

I did not enjoy this book as much as the first two. I have to admit it was a bit of a struggle to finish it. After all the heartbreak and anxiety and otherwise emotional roller-coastereryness, it was a touch of a let down.
