"If you are honest, people may deceive you. Be honest anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfishness. Be kind anyway. All the good you do today will be forgotten by others tomorrow. Do good anyway."

I can't put into words how much I loved this book. The prose is absolutely gut-wrenchingly beautiful. And the way Fredrik Backman manipulate the narrative? The foreshadowing? Stunning. I loved it so much. I honestly think this book was like a very needed balm on some of my old open wounds. I can't tell how grateful I am to have been able to read something like this.
And oh, Benji Ovich, the man that you are.

This was my second read by Fredrik Backman and can I just say wow was this book good.
I loved the hockey part of the book, how cozy this book makes you feel, I was reading this book and felt like I was in the arena watching this whole game unfold in front of me.
Benji, Amat and Bobo are 3 of my favourites.
Fredrik Backman's book are always so good, I don't know what he puts in these books to make them so good, but I just love them.
The only two books I haven't liked are " My grandmother sends her regards and apologies" and " Britt - Marie was here." Other than those two books I have loved all of his other books.

DNF’d at 44% because of sexual assault content.
I couldn’t stomach sitting through the rest of the book as the whole town turned against Maya.
