4 stars - I liked it!

I am a huge fan of Riley Hart and I will read anything of hers, so when I saw a new book come out?? I raced to KU and got it!

This is a great start to this series! I can't tell it's going to be a fun one! The beginning was a bit slow, but then when the book picked up around the middle is when the story got good and addictive! Warner and Garrett are very happy personalities and they're all round fun characters that like to joke around which made for an entertaining book!

Can't wait to see who's story is next in this series!

I have mixed feelings.

I really wanted to love this book. I really truly did. I just wasn’t super into it. The storyline was good but sometimes things didn’t flow well and the way things were described too much wasn’t for me.

The spice level was maybe a 2 out of 5 for me? The dirty talk didn’t really feel natural to me and didn’t really rev me up like other books.

What I did like is Garrett and Warners relationship. Nothing like a brothers best friend trope. That’s what originally got me to read this book. I loved their banter and chemistry with each other and how they enjoyed taunting the other.

Go ahead, ruin me, Warner Ramsey.”

This book was so much fun! A very lighthearted brother's best friend romance between to professional NFL players who are so oblivious to their feelings for one another in the beginning it's kind of adorable.

Warner Ramsey was Garrett's bisexual awakening. And for four years, he held on to what was only ever supposed to be a crush. But then they ended up on the same team... And then they became friends... And then they started sharing a room together on away games...

I loved the banter, I loved the snark, I loved the possessiveness and overall I loved how easily Garrett and Warner fit together. Their relationship is actual goals.

This book wasn't love, but it was still good. I expected more emotional impact because Riley Hart usually hits that way, but for some reason it didn't happen for me with this story.

But the characters are fun and I enjoyed the plot.
