So I'm kinda obsessed with Anna and Charles
I listened to the audiobook version and I very much enjoyed it. It kept me interested and not wanting to turn it off. I was eager to learn what it meant to be an "Omega".

I'm still not sure how I will end up liking this series compared to the Mercy Thompson series (which I absolutely loved), but it is so good to be back in this world. The main thing I'm noticing and guessing is that there will be more focus on the relationship/romance aspect of things, partly because Anna's a werewolf AND she's an Omega, which is a very different role than that played by Mercy Thompson. In addition, Charles is a much older wolf than Adam, so that aspect is also different. Overall, I think I'm going to like this series very much.

I really like Brigg's stories. I think the pack mentality is very interesting, and I like the intricate relationships between the characters. This is a very good start to what I hope is a good series.
You might want to find and read the prequel to really understand what anna has gone through. but you kinda get glimpses throughout the book anyway so it really is not absolutely necessary. But it gives you more insight to this book.
Anyway, If you have read Mercedes "Mercy" Thompson Series and looking for a fix of her world... well I recommend this book. If you haven't read that series... you have two choices. 1) Read this series First, or 2) Read the Mercy Thompson series first. They mention each other so you may as well know what you are getting into. Either way i recommend you read both series'.
Anna is an Omega, Omegas are rare in the Werewolf community. She is learning what it is to be omega whilst recovering from abuse and dealing with a mate (and what it means to have a mate).
I admire her and her hidden strength( which she is still discovering). you get glimpses of it and when you do you feel triumphant that your faith in her wasn't misplaced.

so go on dip your toe into this world.... i promise you... you will not want to leave!
