I have mixed feelings about this book, but I couldn't put it down. I devoured it in basically 24 hours. The first two-thirds had me unhinged. The story pulls you in fast and doesn't let go; it delivers big feelings, chaos, drama and just enough weirdness. The ending left me unsatisfied, though.
And the epilogue? RUDE.
Also, real talk—there should have been trigger warnings at the start. Some of the content was heavier than I expected.
Still, I had such a good time: fast-paced, twisty, and fun.

If Julie Soto writes it then I am going to read it because she never misses! I am a huge fan of Julie’s romance books so I was super excited to read a new genre from her. This is a ya mystery thriller. This is perfect for fans of A Good Girls Guide to Murder, the Naturals, and One of Us is Lying.
This story follows the it group of their towns high school. The group is nicknamed the Trashers from the outsiders. It is impossible to become a new member although many have tried. It was dubbed the term “thrashed” when someone tries to join but fails or when they are no longer included into the group. We have 5 members: Zack, Lucy, Paige, Julian, and Jodi. Every member but Jodi is extremely privileged and popular. Jodi has an in into the group since she was best friends with the leader Zack since they were little kids. Although she considers them her best friends she does question on why she is included in the group when she has no money or status.
This story starts off with the death of Emily Mills. Throughout the story you will learn how the thrashers were involved in her life and what is actually true about her suicide.
Thank you st. martins press for the arc!

This book sucked me in and I did not want to put it down. Jodi Dillon is one of the Thrashers, which is THE friend group to be in, but be careful because you might get "Thrashed".
I was not able to figure out where this one was going to go- it was creepy, it was a chaotic high school, and it kind of made me think of Pretty Little Liars which I loved. Jodie has been besties with Zac Thrasher since they were little- he's the popular boy in school that everyone wants to date, but when Emily get's Thrashed- she takes her own life.
I honestly really liked Julian... I don't know if I was supposed to, but oh well. He and Jodi's relationship was so weird, but it was also good- like did he actually care about her- I think so?? Zac was quite self absorbed-and I did like Lucy and Paige, I do wish we had gotten a little more about them. though.
Emily... man... this character was a lot. That's all I will say... you'll just have to read the book to find out more.
But I have read Julie's other two books and loved them, while this is not her typical genre I cannot wait to read more YA Thrillers by her because this one might be set up for a book 2??? Maybe???
