After Licking Thicket I was expecting a book filled with puns and tons of word play. This one was not like that, but I enjoyed the series just as much.
HEA story with the off limits coach's son trope / friends to lovers. I enjoyed the writing and pacing of the story. Never felt rushed or dragged.
“That’s not how love works,” he said. “If you love someone, you don’t set them free like a damned butterfly. You chain them to your bed and use your mouth to convince them to stay.”

Torture to get through, could have been 1/5th of the length it was. Needs editing and personality, especially in the latter half. Tone of writing is jarringly inconsistent; weird sentences that sound like taken straight out of a Regency love letter for no good reason. Writing otherwise incredibly clunky, we’re talking Wattpad-levels. Story was eh. Like taking a fine premise and going the worst possible way with it. Keep Lucy Lennox far away from me.
This was so stinking cute!!! Mikey’s family sucks though!! I hope the next books are as good!

I loved everything about this book. The characters, the writing, the plot… it all made for a hell of a ride. Mikey’s dad is a dick and that’s all I’m saying about him.
It was great to see Winter, Gent, Pim, Bill, and Truman again. I’m so looking forward to jumping into the next book.

This book was just what I needed. Tiller and Mikey are so freaking adorable!

When Tiller was a rookie in the NFL, he needed the help of a nutritionist and the owner of his team offered up the coach's youngest son, Mikey. Over the following five years while working together, Tiller and Mikey both develop feelings for each other, but they don't act on them because of what Mikey's father might do. But, this is a romance, so of course they eventually get together.

I loved how sweet this book was. Tiller and Mikey are so wonderful to each other throughout the whole thing. No games, and they actually communicate. Imagine that!
And even better, neither of the MCs are manwhores!

They each had a few past intimacies, but very minimal and nothing on page. It is so nice having a famous football playing romance MC that isn't spreading it to every fan he meets.
This book was just like a warm hug. Adorable and sweet. Can't wait for Sam's story!

Tiller is a wide receiver at the top of his game. But, he needs a nutritionist to help him stay at his peak condition. In comes his coach’s son, Mikey, who wants to be a chef and own a restaurant, leaving him odd man out in his sports crazed family.
Five years later, Mikey is the PA abd chef Tiller needs, and they’ve both kept their attraction hidden. Until an injury forces Tiller to be off and they end up in Aster Valley in a cabin, alone. Once they give in, they know it’s hopeless to think about a relationship, but they dream of staying in the village together.
Only once Mikey sees how little his family think of him does he move ahead with his dream of working up to owning a B&B in Aster Valley. Tiller can’t live without Mikey in his life, and shows him he’s first, even above football.
Lovely story, and the setting sounds pretty and perfect for a new series.
