I loved Tiller’s confidence to be who he is in the sports world. To not let fear and judgement hold him back. His love and affection for Mikey could be felt before he ever even went after him sexually and I adored that. Mikey always took care of Tiller, showing his love through that caring and nurturing. They make a great couple. The obstacles they have to face with real world issues was great. Their love story beautiful and intriguing.

Cute. Mikey should have ditched his dad ages ago. Also, he kept making it sound like he did a lot more with previous players.

I had such high hopes for this book, and was disappointed that I had so many issues with this book that made it such an unsatisfying read.

There wasn’t really any interaction between the main characters and their families, and matters weren’t really resolved. Mikey and Tiller’s relationship had so much going against it, and they never really overcame their obstacles, just deciding to live with their issues. The ending gave me an “Oh well, you get what you get” vibe, not an “We’re in love and living our dream” vibe.

Also, Mikey and his family never resolved any issues between them. The were supposedly ‘not homophobic,’ yet were subtly demeaning and hurtful to him and Tiller the entire book, and slowly pushed Mikey out of their family. At the end, Mikey’s family continues their asshole-ish behavior, and the reader assumes Mikey and his relatives don’t talk anymore.

As for Tiller’s family, his father (annoyingly) encourages him to focus on football, at the cost of his outside life. I liked his parents’ relationship and it was really sweet, but I also felt that Tiller’s dad was pushing him out of the family, although it seemed to be out of love for Tiller. His dad seemed to leave him out of family time and experiences with the excuse that “Football is important, family is for when your older.” This really frustrated me.

I honestly don’t understand why this book has such positive reviews. I finished the book feeling down and disappointed. I will not be continuing this series.

“Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yep. Yes. That... I would like that. Please. Yes, please.” That’s pretty much how I felt after reading this fantastic and delicious book. I’d fight anyone—and happily punch others—for my Mikey and Tiller, who were made for each other and meant to be together. They’re amazing, kind, sweet, caring, sexy, smart and so much more. They made me smile from ear to ear and I loved how their relationship developed and progressed from friends/boss/employee to I-can’t-stand-to-not-touch-you. Their intense connection and chemistry slayed me and had me wanting more and more of these two. Tiller and Mikey’s love story was absolutely perfect and I wish I could visit the gorgeous cabin, Aster Valley, and try some of the mouthwatering recipes—and possibly see Tiller without a shirt. The people in this town, the feel-good vibes, the warm fuzzies have me ready to pack up and move and I’m already drooling for the next book in the series.

I really liked this one BUT (minor spoiler) the whole thing with Mikey's dad had no conclusion and I'm a little mad. Otherwise I really liked the whole relationship and setting, I liked that the drama came more from obstacles they faced rather than The Dreaded Misunderstanding you usually get in this genre, it was a nice change. Sweet and fluffy.

Ok so Aster Valley is awesome. This was a good story, I liked Tiller and Mikey together. They deserved to find their way to each other past all the years of not talking about what's been growing between them. Mikey has been Tiller's right hand and everything in between for a long time. Both of them needed to move forward and a trip away was the first time they could really work things out without any outside pressure.

I loved Aster Valley and all of the friends that Tiller and Mikey garnered there. The story was pretty standard as far as the romance goes, but the personalities were all so much fun I was hooked. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

After reading some of the Made Marian books right before this one, I immediately saw the quality jump in Lucy Lennox's newest release. I very much enjoyed these characters. Recommend.

This book was so good! I have no idea why I haven't read much from this author before.

I loved the build up and the tension and pining in the beginning. In some books when they finally hook up, it can become a bit boring but that wasn't the case here at all. The whole book was so good and so hard to put down.

I did feel the third act conflict was a bit weak and out of character, and there were some things that could have been resolved better. Also, no actual epilogue (it was someone else's POV)

Can't wait to read more from this series and more from this author!
