This book was so good! I have no idea why I haven't read much from this author before.

I loved the build up and the tension and pining in the beginning. In some books when they finally hook up, it can become a bit boring but that wasn't the case here at all. The whole book was so good and so hard to put down.

I did feel the third act conflict was a bit weak and out of character, and there were some things that could have been resolved better. Also, no actual epilogue (it was someone else's POV)

Can't wait to read more from this series and more from this author!

I loved everything about this freakin book man! I originally started listening to the audiobook but wanted to finish it so bad I had to download it on KU and just read it!

Right as Raine was...one of the sweetest love stories i've ever read. Ah, and the narration was the sh**! Woo!

I loved everything about Tiller and Mikey...separately and together. Apart they are forces to be reckoned with. Tiller is a start football player that's really nothing more than a romantic and has been pinning over his chef/nutritionist/housekeeper for the last AT LEAST 3 years of the 5 years they've been working together. And Mikey this sassy, headstrong (unless it's in regards to his shit family) chef has just simply been in love and didn't even know it. It literally made my heart flutter watching these two fall so deep in love that they're willing to sacrifice their entire lives for each other thinking that it's the best decision when in all actuality they just needed each other.

I absolutely hated Mikey's family. If you've read this book then you do too! But they're such an intro gal part of the person Mikey is, you simply can't read the book without them.

The last like 6 chapters had my heart going through so many things it's ridiculous. lmao a constant state of just rapid beats. I feel like there could be some more story here but I absolutely LOVE the way the book ended. Well it feels more like a pause. But I love the way the book progressed and paused. It's not a cliffhanger or anything it just feels...incomplete.

5 out of 5 hands down!

This was the perfect sugary sweet and low-angst read.
I really like Lennox’s writing; the banter was very funny and the romance scenes were well-done. I loved the combination of sarcastic, smart-mouthed nerd and laidback, sweetheart athlete.
A great choice if you’re looking for a wholesome MM friends-to-lovers.

First - that cover! Talk about gorgeous!
Second, this one checks the boxes of a couple of my fav tropes: friends-to-lovers and boss/employee. You can also throw in sports for that matter.

I enjoyed this story all the more because the characters didn't fall into bed with one another. Their story builds and deepens throughout the pages of this book. While their chemistry is definitely off the charts, they don't just sleep together to sleep together. it takes a bit for them to take their friendship to that level and, in my mind, it makes this one all the more real. And, let's not leave out the feels... oh! The feels, sweetness, and heat. Yum-o!

I loved this one and am so glad I took a chance to read it. I'd recommend this one wholeheartedly.

I wanna go to Aster Valley!

I ate up Winter Waites yesterday, the AV prequel, and read RIGHT AS RAINE today. Oh, the feels in this book were sweeping.

Mikey and Tiller have an AMAZING friendship/working relationship that slowly evolves into shared but assumed unrequited pining. This lasts for FIVE years, until a football injury and a trip to a little mountain town turn things upside down.

Mikey and Tiller both have obstacles in their path, but ultimately, they work them out, and the storytelling is TOP TIER.

Their love is so sweet and strong. It was beautiful to read. Mikey's situation with his dad and his entire family broke my heart,  and there were many times I was openly crying... especially near the end.

But woo, that Tiller Raine was some kind of something. Thoughtful and kind and OBSESSED with his Mikey. I was here for it.

Imagine: Travis Kelce falls for his personal chef, in a real-life employee to friends to lovers situation. The swoon factor was real.

I'm off to f*ck up my sleep schedule by making a coffee and starting Truman and Sam's book. This is what vacation is all about!

[3.4] let me state for the record that i did like the couple (Tiller having his priorities straight when shiz hits the fan was good stuff

Sweet

Office dual point of view
Standalone

Mikey is the only non athlete in his baller family, having instead chosen nutrition. Tiller is a pro player for Mikey’s dad who has a problem with managing his nutrition and keeps collapsing on the field. Mikey’s dad is forced to introduce the two, but with Mikey’s past he is determined to keep everything professional.

Loved Mikey’s journey and how Tiller cared for him.
