Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Michael Vining the coaches young baby boy was about to be Raine's live-in-chef, Will his views on the NFL player change giving the time or will the hot as sin player prove that they was all just after one thing that fame brought. Raine new he was in trouble after the first year with his Mikey but he never dreamed just what kinda trouble it would bring until an injury puts them together in a cabin together. Was more was working to keep them apart then just themselves after all both was out to the public. I started disliking Coach more as I read and words are pretty and all but sometimes deeds prove more to about character.I laughed so much while reading Mikey and his quick comebacks..exciting babble and all. I just loved the Aster Valley population.
I loved this book and I’m surprised because I wasn’t feeling the prologues and since I’ve been in a bit of a book slump, I just assumed this one was shit too. I was wrong. This is a employee/boss, friends to lovers, sports romance and I loved both main characters. Part of why I wasn’t digging this is the beginning was because one of the main characters, Mikey, was described in a way that made him unattractive to me but he’s actually my favorite and I’m thankful I stuck with this so he could win me over. Tiller and Mikey are couple goals and I loved their banter and love for each other. I absolutely hated Mikey’s family and the lack of respect they showed him just because he wasn’t sporty.
Tiller plays for the Texas Riggers pro football team and is the first out player in the NFL and Mikey is the coach’s youngest son. Mikey is into nutrition and cooking and becomes Tiller’s live in chef. Both are initially opposed to the idea but after 5 years, the two have become great friends. Each of them are both harboring feelings for each other but both know it’s not wise to cross that line. Coach can be very vindictive. Then, Tiller gets hurt and needs to take time off to heal and what better way to do that than go to his home state of Colorado and rent a cabin for a few weeks with his live in chef. But the two of them all alone in the cute town of Aster Valley has a way of bringing them closer be damned the consequences.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I’m so excited for more. This is the first book in the Aster Valley series and I loved the idyllic small town vibes it gave off. I’m so excited to read Truman’s story next and I know it’s bound to be super emotional based on what we learn about him in this book. My only negative was that the epilogue was from Truman’s POV but this story was completely wrapped up before then so I forgave the author for not giving me more of Tiller and Mikey.

I have found my new favorite Lucy Lennox book. Much like her previous books, Lucy works on building the characters, letting us get to know them, and by the end, they are part of our very beings. The relationship between Tiller and Mikey, even though they have to fight it to a point, comes very natural, and I loved them together. I found myself turning page after page as this book completely consumed me. I love a good sports romance, but this blew my mind.
I highly recommend everyone pick up this 5 star read today. You will not be disappointed! One click!

I love it
I love it. The story line, fallen for the coach son's. Giving a chance to another footballer. Slowly falling in love.
I hate micky family's. Thought they will come around. In a way, it make it real, but in a fairy tale I love everyone in love and happy with their family.

I love Lucy Lennox books! Every single one that I have read, I have fallen in love with the characters and the worlds she creates. Mikey and Tiller were absolutely lovely and their friends to lovers romance was super sweet. I love that Winter and Gentry made an appearance and cannot wait for Truman's story!
Tiller Raine is a star wide receiver for the Houston Riggers who has a tendency to miss meals. He needs a chef/nutritionist and hires the coach's son, Mikey temporarily. Fast forward five years, and Mikey is still working for Tiller as his PA. They're attracted to each other, but haven't acted on it. Tiller hasn't, because Mikey is the coach's son. Mikey hasn't, because he once slept with another player and earned his father's disdain.
But that all changes when Tiller is injured and they spend time in a secluded cabin/lodge in Aster Valley, Colorado.
Disaster follows. Can Mikey and Tiller find their way through to the other side?
***
I loved Tiller and Mikey together, and each separately. I loved the way Tiller called Mikey "My…Mikey." He was at a loss for words, wanting to call him more when he didn't have that right.
What I didn't like was that Coach I also wished that we'd seen more of Tiller and Mikey's story in the epilogue. Instead, the next story is set up.

Spoiler
really didn't get what he deserved. Though Tiller did have the upper hand.

Zing. There was this...zing between the main characters. Like an almost palpable connection that leapt off the proverbial page. Tiller and Mikey were each part of the other's support system, and over the five years they were together as boss and employee and then later, friends, there was this level of comfort that was matched only by their level of awareness of each other. I loved how these two prodded one another to be the best version of themselves, to make them realize that they were capable of much more than they may have initially believed. As with well-written series starters like this one, not only do we get Tiller and Mikey's story, but we meet other characters who we hope will get their own happily-ever-afters going forward, and I'm super excited for book two due in March! For now, I'm basking in the awesomeness that is Right as Raine. Five stars.

I like when books make me feel something and I'm disappointed that this book filled me with an incredible rage and then never resolved the situation that caused it.
I mean Tiller and Mikey are endgame by page like, ten, in the book and their story was low stakes, low angst when it was just the two of them. Mikey is Tiller's NFL coach's son which is a complication had they not both been almost 30. Tiller is out publicly so there wasn't an element of secrecy other than he wanted his privacy.
Mikey's family is the absolute worst and I wish them to step in something wet in their socks every day for the rest of their unfortunately fictional socks. I hope he cuts them off and we never have to hear about them again in the rest of the books in this series.
