There are definite dark aspects to this book, but they're handled very well and add to the individual emotional arcs of Laura and Samir. I REALLY loved Samir's gentle way of allowing Laura the space she needed to tell him what she was comfortable with and when. He never pressures her about anything.

Even wondering how she's doing with the baby - he simply buys his own baby book to read up about it. Instead of trying to make her feel bad for not including him. Or stressing her out with his questions.

I’ve read this book twice! It’s a super fast read and makes me feel better when I’m pregnant. The FMC is pregnant and divorcing her abusive husband. She reconnects with a childhood boyfriend and it’s a perfect second chance romance.

Ok Laura!

Daniel literally ruined her too and turned her family against her. Prick! Thank gawd for Samir since Daniel was such a piece of work. Excited to start book 2.
