Although this wasn't to my personal taste, I'm sure it will appeal to lots of younger readers.

I read to preschoolers daily, and we just started chapter books. This one is so cute, and I think they'll love it!

Outstanding fun, Mercy has one mode: happy. The world can literally fall apart around her, but she continues to focus on the good stuff (like toast with lots of butter and sugar cookies). Even getting chased by a neighbor is really more like playtime!
This is good stuff--I'm so looking forward to Mercy Watson's next story.

Brie loved this one! She thought Mercy the pig was hilarious. I appreciated how it had a sweet old-fashioned feel to it.

Mercy Watson to the Rescue is a great early chapter book for readers. It is a fun, silly book about a pig, named Mercy, who in her for buttered toast saves her parents from a perilous situation. There are lively illustrations throughout the book and this is sure to keep any young reader's attention and make them laugh out loud. This would make a great read aloud as well.

I’ve been reading these books to my 4-year-old and she loves them. Her biggest thrill is checking out a new Mercy book at the library. Except there are only 6 and we’ve already read 4 of them.
