We love Kate DiCamillo and this was no exception. I love that these are simple and short enough for my daughter to read herself, but without compromising storytelling.

A super cute book about a Porcine Wonder. Mercy is a talented little piggy who accidentally saves her family in the greatest way possible. The writing is excellent for transitional readers and introduces new words to young readers.

Surprisingly, my four year old son and I loved this book series. I had noticed the books sitting on the shelf many times but it just didn't grab me. A patron recommended them for my son and I to read together and we thoroughly enjoyed them.

The illustrations are lovely. One nice feature, if your children are quite young, is that each page has a colorful illustration to occupy the child while you read the words. This is great for children who want to be read to but aren't quite ready for the solid text of many chapter books.

This was a delightful little series, I'm sorry there are only six of them.

I love Mercy Watson, and her affinity for hot buttered toast. I'm using this series as read alouds for my first grade classes this year, and we love Mercy!

I’ve been reading these books to my 4-year-old and she loves them. Her biggest thrill is checking out a new Mercy book at the library. Except there are only 6 and we’ve already read 4 of them.

Truly absurd, but the illustrations are lovely and it kept my three-year-old's interest.

I don't always like books with animal characters, but this one was pretty cute.
