I enjoyed the music theme and Skylar’s character development. Her choice to go from stardom to homelessness is a pretty unbelievable scenario, and the circumstances of her resulting journey into normalcy are unlikely. It was nice to see her character grow and work through some past trauma, though. There was too much spice for me - I found myself skimming past multiple pages for this reason. The overall writing style was nice, though, and I liked hearing the main character’s “voice” shine through the first person point of view.

I don't know that I've read a Sam Young book that I didn't love and As Dust Dances definitely kept meeting my expectations from the Romance Queen.
As Dust Dances is a lovely story of healing and finding strength from yourself and from friendships even in the darkest of times.

'The river heard me and it came for me. Now my song belongs to it.'
Cold-hearted asshole + tough talented artist = a good chemistry and an interesting plot. Also liked to read the lyrics to some of her songs (example above). Could have lived without knowing their relationship was 5 weeks long but it's more of a preference thing. Other than that, the conflict was interesting and original and I really enjoyed the writing style. It was exactly what I wanted.

Loved so much!!
I picked this up because I love Samantha Young’s writing, it’s just so incredible! The way that this story was told was just so satisfying and completely perfect for me. Skyler and Killian were just destined to meet and the way everything happened just made me want to keep reading! ❤️

From the three ARC'S I have received, this one was probably my least favorite. I just didn't connect as much as I wanted to the characters but over all it still was good book. And warning! Might also need tissues for this one also, it seems like there is a theme of making the reader feel weepy for Young this year.

Ich liebe den Schreibstil der Autorin und freute mich schon sehr auf das Buch. Schon alleine das Cover ist ein absoluter Hingucker und der Klappentext verspricht auch sehr viel.

Die Geschichte fängt mit einer gewissen Schwere an, die sich wie ein roter Faden durch das Buch zieht. So wird eine Tiefe erreicht und die Emotionen kommen definitiv nicht zu kurz. Eine Lovestory, die eher schwer als leicht erzählt wird und Wolken der Melancholie ziehen immer wieder sehr stark vorbei. Eine drückende Stimmung, die mir persönlich sehr gut gefallen hat.

Der Hauptprotagonist Killian ist ganz nach meinem Geschmack. Er redet nicht viel und ist eher der schweigsame, unnahbare Typ. Ich habe mich im Laufe des Buches immer mehr in Killian verliebt, wobei ich ihn auch oft schütteln wollte. „Wach auf O’Dea und rede mit ihr!“.
Ich wollte ihn bei den Schultern nehmen und schütteln, nicht das hier was falsch verstanden wird.

Mit Skylar hatte ich meine Probleme. Ich konnte viele Handlungen der jungen Damen nicht nachvollziehen und somit gibt es einen Stern Abzug.

Ansonsten gibt es hier von mir eine klare Leseempfehlung! .

Ça fait des années que je n'ai pas lu de livres de Samantha Young ! Je ne sais pas trop pourquoi vu que j'avais adoré les deux livres que j'avais lu (Samathan Young a un véritable talent pour écrire des histoires en Écosse <3)
Puis j'ai vu que ce livre était gratuit sur Amazon et comme mon voyage en Écosse est reporté à l'année prochaine et que je suis en manque ... ><
Un livre que j'ai dévoré :
- le début est un peu lent et au départ j'avoue l'héroïne m'énervait : j'avais l'impression que c'était un peu une princesse qui faisait son caprice ...
- Mais plus on avance dans le livre (et surtout après l'agression au cimetière) plus on en découvre plus sur l'héroïne (notamment son passé et les raisons pour lesquelles elle a tout quitté) et plus j'ai été aspiré par le livre <3
- j'ai beaucoup pleuré j'avoue mais c'est exactement ce dont j'avais besoin en ce moment : beaucoup d'angst et de drama !! J'ai eu le cœur brisé pour l'héroïne et pour tout ce qu'elle a vécu et subi :
- j'ai adoré la voir évoluer, changer et prendre conscience de sa force ... Et aussi la voir tomber amoureuse de Killian (même si j'ai eu envie de le gifler parfois ><)
- Et cette fin <3 (très New York Melody) (et cette scène avec l'oncle =D)
- J'aurais adoré avoir une BO pour ce livre !!
Bref, une romance à dévorer sans retenue <3

It's been years since I have read Samantha Young's books ! I'm not sure why because I loved the two books I read (Samathan Young has a real talent for writing stories in Scotland <3)
Then I saw that this book was free on Amazon and since my trip to Scotland is postponed until next year and that I need to travel even if only in my head ... ><
A book that I devoured :
- the beginning is a little slow and at the start I must admit the heroin irritated me: I had the impression that it was a bit like a princess who throws a tantrum ...
- But the more we advance in the book (and especially after the aggression in the cemetery) the more we discover about the heroine (especially her past and the reasons for which she left everything) and the more I was drawn by the book <3
- I cried a lot I must admit but this is exactly what I needed at the moment: a lot of angst and drama !! I was heartbroken for the heroine and for everything she lived and suffered:
- I loved seeing her evolve, change and become aware of her strength ... And also seeing her fall in love with Killian (even if I wanted to slap him sometimes ><)
- And this ending <3 (very Begin Again) (and this scene with uncle =D)
- I would have loved to have a soundtrack for this book !!
In short, a romance to devour without restraint <3

Comment tu peux rien faire pour la protéger ??), ses relations toxiques (son "meilleur ami" qui en fait est responsable d'avoir détruit sa vie ! Et qui ne le comprend pas ... Cette stupide rencontre à l’appartement et quand il "l'embrasse" !! Je l'aurais tué !!) ...- j'ai adoré la voir évoluer, changer et prendre conscience de sa force ... Et aussi la voir tomber amoureuse de Killian (même si j'ai eu envie de le gifler parfois ><)

I LOVED this. Loved how the characters developed over the pages and how the relationships evolved. Although i think Skylar's ex is a bit of childish idiot. All the anxieties made me click with her instantly and all i wished was for her to get her HEA
