the kids and I loved the story - the adventure, the imagination and the practical need for snacks as well as the illustrations.
In addition to being a fun story, a good lesson in spacial awareness.
I loved the digging and just missing the treasure part, but when they fell through to the other house, it lost me.
Still pretty good, but for me it lacked the sparkle and joy I found in Extra Yarn.
Always follow the dog's nose. I read some reviews and realised I'd missed something really obvious pertaining to one of the theories about what happened. Interesting!
I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I know I'm not loving it.
Is it simply tongue in cheek or is there some other completely esoteric philosophy behind it that would completely go over the target audience's head.

Love the illustrations. Subtle but so great! Enjoyed this one.
