Wow I was really surprised by how much I loved this classic! I can’t stop thinking how subversive writing this character must have been in the 19th century. Of course, there is an aspect of Jane mainly about servitude and meekness, but she’s so much more than that! She’s an incredibly determined, fiercely independent, and rigorous character whom I found inspiring. It was such a joy to read this book.
