great adventure with wild plot points. My only complaint is it ends too soon.

Awesome.

This book started off strong with the violence and mayhem commencing within the first 10 pages. Imagine an outbreak of the Rage virus from the film '28 Days Later' taking place in the middle of Boston. I tore through the first 100 pages or so but it really started to slow down after that. The story made quite a departure from what my expectations of the story were, and while that's often a good thing in other books, it just didn't work for me in this instance. The characters that King creates in this book are fairly interesting, however, at times it feels like they are all speaking with the same voice (if that makes any sense).
It's definitely not among my favorites of King's works but for what it's worth I enjoyed it. Although, I do find myself wishing that the resolution of the plot had been a bit more complete.

Though I am a great fan of Stephen King I could not finish this book for the life of me. I struggled through a large portion though couldn't simply sit down and finish it. The back of the book had be intrigued, though the further I got into the book the more I became less interested. It got to the point where is simply bored me, and became to painful for me to continue. My mind kept wandering, the storyline I found cheesy, and every time I would even open it I suddenly became very tired and disinterested.

An easy read in both the way it is written and presented.
Features a small band of likable, interesting and very human characters.
A constant feeling of dread and uncertainty lingers from beginning to end.
I would easily recommend this to anyone who's looking for a new book from this genre and is prepared for Mr. King's excellent and frightening descriptions of gore.

As far as zombie novels go, this one was top notch. I started and immediately couldn't put it down. My only forewarning is that the ending has left some readers discontent. I liked it. It was better than a giant spider in the sewer (IT). Two thumbs up from me, Mr. King.

I like every book from Stephen King so I was not surprised that I loved that book also like every other book from him. I say that every one who likes thrillers should read it. Go for it!
