This comic will just mess you up and yet, you’d be unable to put it down. Just look at how beautifully it portrays the impact of the dreadful event on not just the parents who experienced it but also on their kids who had to live with it:

DID NOT FINISH: 42%

I absolutely loved it but I landed it from the school library at the end of the year so I could not finish it. Can’t wait till I can buy my own copy and enjoy it in my personal time

This is going to be a mini review because, honestly, I am so blown away by MAUS that I don’t think I can give it justice in words. MAUS is a memoir told in graphic novel form. Written by Art Spiegleman, the novel accounts the story of his father’s experience in the second world war. The story follows him and his wife, Spiegelman's mother, before the war, running from Nazi’s and other Jew hunters while the second part primarily tells the story of his time in Auschwitz.

While reading this I was perpetually enthralled and I found myself discovering things about Jewishness and the second World War that I had never even considered before. If the question is whether to read it or not, there is only one answer. Read it. Read it and don't put it down until you're done.
