Really interesting listen and fascinating insight into the Scottish justice system, but dissatisfying conclusion.

I guess my streak of nonfiction books continue. I saved this one for my thriller month since it was about a murder. I enjoyed it overall but found it slightly disjointed and I wished the recordings could have been cleared up a bit better. Not a terrible dive into true crime.

Interesting true crime story about a man who insists he was wrongfully convicted. The unique twist to this story is the complete lack of forensic evidence. That being said, after listening to the whole thing, I have to admit that I would have sided with the jury on this one.

I picked up Body of Proof as one of my two Audible Originals selections for September 2019. I thought it was well put together and interesting. I appreciated the efforts that the team put in to investigate this no-body crime.

Engaging story, a scary reality of another country's legal justice system.

So yes...it's pretty messed up that a man was convicted based on purely circumstantial evidence, but even after listening to this, I still think David did it. The one thing that really annoyed me was that in the first chapter, the narrators mentioned that David had scratches on his hands the day he went to talk to the police - a pretty damning fact, I would say - and then they never bring up that piece of evidence again. Did I imagine that? Because I pretty clearly remember hearing that. Overall, this was a very compelling audiobook and it definitely calls into question the Scottish justice system (not that the American one is any better).

Not bad, but not good. Nothing really happens. They spent 6 hours talking about a man who was convicted without any real evidence. Pretty much what you can read in the summary

This one was very interesting. Very informative about prosecution in Scotland. Did drag in parts towards the middle but eventually picked back up as it was tying everything together. Crazy to think they convicted him with only speculation and no physical proof or body.
