This is a strong start to the continuation for these characters after the initial run. I like that we're actually seeing the fallout in the city with the Pride gone, especially since it makes sense that there would be more crime. I also like the thought of them trying to help other kids too, not just make up for their parents' evil deeds. I vaguely remembered some of these points from the Runaways' Civil War comic, but I'll just have to reread that when I get to that point in the continuity. Entertaining and the start of new plots.

For: fans of superheroes/comics; readers wanting an original storyline that they can keep up with; readers wanting younger heroes to follow--they're all tweens and teens.

Possible red flags: violence and fighting; characters in peril; language; murder/death; conspiracies and secret societies; betrayal; sexual innuendo.

A re-read

Time travel is never an improvement in a story-line. Okay almost never. And I like the whole support group for formerly underage superheroes much better than a new super group being formed. But still this book is just fine. Good enough art, good enough writing. And it introduces Victor Mancha, who I was trying to remember when he reappears.

gert/chase emotions??

Can’t even compare it to the original volumes. This took me far too long to read for a graphic novel and didn’t capture my attention. Not sure if I’ll continue.

Tras tres tomos muy interesantes y diferentes, en este pasa a ser otro cómic más de superheroes. Estuvo muy bien mientras duró, yo me bajo aquí.

3.5 stars. Runaways tackle some criminals entering LA’s power vacuum. Self help group for teen-wannabe-superheroes try to “rescue” the Runaways from themselves. Runaways get a visitor from the future warning them of a now-teen who is big-bad-evil in 20 years. That teen has odd parentage revealed in this volume. Some young fans of Pride are plotting.

I’m annoyed by the super skinny boobalicious women and teens in the art. Only Gert, Nico and young Molly escape it.
