Not my favorite of the Sherlock Holmes novellas, but it did completely surprise me, so that was good. And I can never say no to a good Sherlock Holmes mystery.
Beautiful. Just. Beautiful. It was a nice change of pace to visit a character's backstory that was so removed from the typical Victorian gaslight setting we usually see.

Brilliant! Didn't like the ending that much but enjoyed the mystery and the dramatic back story.
This was slower then other Holmes books. I found my mind wondering while reading it.
