DID NOT FINISH: 15%

Did not at all vibe with Beau and the people of the small town. Better to stop and continue on the next book instead of becoming angry and get into a reading slump.

Good read.

The heartfelt love and passion between two old friends is amazing. How does one forget a person from your past. A true love story.

Maverick lost his parents as kid and his grandma didn't take him. Which hurt him a lot and he ended up in foster care and then adopted by the Marian's when he aged into a group home. He is one of the three adopted sons they have. Now he is going back to South Carolina Rabbit Island where his gma lived.

He finds not only memories of the past good and sad, but his best friend he spent summers with, Beau. Beau is a contractor and caretaker of his gma's place. Mav is wanting to sell place and go on with his life. However as he stays there he not only falls hard for Beau but Rabbit Island

I loved all but Beau's ahole dad who kept putting him down. There was no resolve there, but thankfully the rest of the book had it.

Beau and Mav had some great sex and boy those shower scenes were hot and also funny. I was sad with what happened with one character in here. They were old and had lived a wonderful life. General who was Beau's dog a gift from Mimi Mav's gma after Mav left because Beau was devastated.

Before the end of the book Mav rescued a dog in hurricane and gifted her to Beau and his self. Mav realized when he couldn't get hold of Beau in the hurricane he couldn't leave him or Rabbit Island because they were his home.

Funny and hot moments happen in here. Irene, Granny and Tilly are a hoot for sure. Definitely a great book in series.
