This has been my favorite one so far. I laughed and cried throughout this book. Oh my gosh, those little old ladies get better and better! Love holds no boundaries, even when it’s fictional.

I enjoyed this book. It was funnier and a bit ridiculous, more like the author's cowritten books with May Archer. I was a little frustrated by the fact that Mav's pain from being denied by his grandmother was somewhat glossed over through most of this book. Also there were some events that occurred off page and then were referred to in the story which were a little confusing. For example, a practical joke that Beau and Jude play on the rest of the family. I did really enjoy the theme of the men getting caught multiple times coming in from the outdoor shower nude. This book was kind of silly and super cute. A fun read.

Length: 7 hours, 48 minutes - Perfect

Narrator: Michael Dean - I like him, and his laugh was better (easier for me to take) than in  previous readings, but Dean still sounds like he's either going to laugh or cry.

Shelves: Series (Established)

Met Expectations - Another fine installment about the Marian brothers. A nice story with good M/M sex. The drama was mild and was easy on the heart with the exception of
a dog dying
.

While I enjoyed this book, it was probably my least favorite in the series. Although i loveeee Mav and Beau, it just got annoying in some parts. Like how every time they needed to discuss something important, it was “well deal with it later” (but they never really did), or Beau’s best friend was annoying as hell and kind of insensitive (joking that she was Beau’s gf, after Mav literally just broke up with someone who was cheating with a woman), and literally no one in the town was endearing like you would expect from a small town romance.
So these 3 stars are all for Mav and Beau… no one else gets any stars.

This book was fine. Their relationship felt very stagnant for most of the book.

Aw, I adored Mav and Beau’s love story. I have a fondness for the Carolinas and the Atlantic Ocean having grown up there so this book brought back a lot of memories.

Maverick is back for his grandmother’s funeral, bitter because she didn’t take him in after his parents died. He’s inherited all her holdings, none of which he wants, except for some salt and pepper shakers.

Beau remembers Mav, they were best friends, and he was heartbroken when Maverick never returned at the age of 13.

They’re immediately attracted to each other, and once they connect, can’t let go over space and time. Maverick has a life and family in San Francisco, and Beau belongs on Rabbit Island.

Something has to give, and each of them decides it’s worth moving for the other. Maverick finally realizes he wants to be home, on the island he loves so well, with the man he loves so well.
