Questo libro potrà non essere il romanzo migliore del mondo, ma lascia dentro tanta consapevolezza, nella lettura dona tantissime emozioni belle e brutte ma costruttive per la storia. Una storia d’amore che sembra impossibile, che sembra sbagliata agli occhi del mondo, a parer mio è descritta quasi in maniera poetica; in qualche modo riesci a trovare cose in comune con i personaggi e a condividere o meno azioni e pensieri. Nell’insieme direi che l’unico modo di descriverlo con una parola è “emozionante”

Let me start saying: it was a very enjoyable read BUT (unfortunately there’s a but) it wasn’t as extraordinary as I expected.
That said I want to do a sort of a list of pros and cons. Things I liked and things I didn’t.
Starting from the former I can say I really appreciated the writing style that made the story easy to follow and pleasant. Time and space are well constructed, which makes everything easier when following the progression of the narration.
The characterization of the protagonists is really consistent which helps the reader to empathize and identify with them.
What I didn’t really like was the continuous back and forth between Will and Lewis. I can understand some difference of opinions can bring them to fight but this was too much; all they did was fight and make out to solve things for the first half of the book.
Then the war happens and PLOT TWIST everything we knew (or we thought we knew) just pops and disappear like a soap bubble. So we slowly have to rebuild the story and the characters and this gives us the opportunity to understand more deeply the bond between Lewis and Will.
So over all is quite a good book, maybe a little too slow on the fist part but it was worth the time.

questi due mi hanno stesa, letteralmente. ho cominciato il libro con aspettative zero, sono arrivata a metà piangendo e non è andata meglio andando avanti ma bello. bellissimo.
