an odd reading experience but i didn't hate it. i liked the writing style, but i feel it would translate better with novellas or short stories. this one just felt so LONG it literally took me weeks to finish.

it's very slice of life. very cozy. very vibes~ which i appreciate! so this did scratch an itch for me. altogether, though, i did find it dragging out from the middle to the end.

This is not my usual genre but I’m a Nashville local and this was such a fantastic reflection of our city!

an unfamiliar experience for me to be actively rooting for the other characters to hang out without the main character. still, it went down easy and did make me crave music in a particular way. music is pretty good, huh!

The writing style is different and for me I just didn’t love it. I typically enjoy books that are more linear and have a clear climax. I spent a lot of the book hating the main character. I wondered where the story was going for the first two acts. We didn’t get to explore much of the primary/final romance. Kind of disappointed. I do think the world built was interesting.

Personally, the book reminded me too much of my early 20s living in TN in the music scene and I don’t love being reminded of that time in my life. Book was not bad by any means!
