An absolutely amazing sequel, we see so many storylines converge as characters are thrown into hellish situations with each other. The character development in this novel is absolutely INSANE and I loved how much the reader can connect and relate to all the characters, even the supposed antagonists.

OMG I actually rated this 4 stars, I actually liked this SO much more than the others, I don't even know why but I speed through 100 pages one day and I actually enjoyed the reading so seeing as I only have 1 book left in this series I will be buying it soon and completing the series.

I LOVED IT. The story is so good and as stubborn as Ember can be, she has the right intentions. The battle isn’t over yet though and I stress any main important characters dying in the last book, though I know it’s bound to happen :((.

Still I am satisfied with how this book played out and I am so happy that Ember chose Garret. From the beginning I loved them together so this is a big win for me.

I also think however that something dragon-like is happening to Garret, especially with the weird things going on a bit with him. How Riley saw that Garret’s pupils were like slits at that one point, and how he can heal faster than a human. I think that may be foreshadowing.

Dante is really getting on my nerves, and he’s too corrupt to realize that Talon and the Elder Wyrm are wrong. Ughhh I hope he pulls himself together in the last book.

Overall I really enjoyed the plot and everything that happened between Garret and Riley and Ember. I also love how Mist joined them and how Jade helped out with that big battle at the end of the book.

I look forward to the last one! I recommend this to fantasy, action and romance lovers (though it isn’t mainly romance).

I'm calling it now.

Garrett's dad is a dragon.

Or maybe I'm just an idiot?

I’m finally starting to get really into this series. I’m liking Ember more and more. The action is getting more intense the more secrets that are revealed. The love triangle is sort of resolved (though not to my liking).
Ember has really grown. She knows that she needs to do whatever it takes to fight Talon. She doesn’t shy away from the hard things anymore. While they still bother her, she understands what she needs to do. I really loved the moment she had where she was in her head and came face to face with her dragon. That really made me happy because the separation in Ember’s mind of her dragon and the human side was something I complained about in my review for the last book.
I liked that while Garret and Riley still had their own chapters, they sort of took a backseat to the other characters. I still like them both, but this book was meant for Dante and Ember to shine.
Dante makes me so mad. I just want him to come to Ember’s side and understand that everything he thinks he knows is a lie. I hate that he’s being fooled and I’m really hoping to see him learn the truth in the final book.
Overall, this one was probably my favorite of the series so far. I’m excited to read the final book in the series and finally finish this story.

At about a quarter through, Jade left. She's my favorite! I liked Ember at first but her storyline has become more and more boy centric.

Previously the multiple first person point of views didn't confuse me much but this time I kept forgetting who "I" was supposed to be.

Riley and company actually staked out the building before going charging in. Why wasn't this standard procedure? How many traps would they have avoided if they were a little cautious?
