maybe i haven’t experienced the horrifying ordeal of being Old yet so therefore this book is not really meant for me … but i just didn’t really find any connections to the protagonist that made me care about him in any substantial way. i thought all the traveling and encounters were really interesting and they kept me engaged, but the book as a whole just fell flat. perhaps it was hyped too much for me

I was recommended this book by a friend, and I was completely disappointed! There is no story. The main character is so uninteresting. His negativity made it difficult to even finish this book. I kept pushing through...hoping there was some redeeming quality in this book. There wasn’t. I’m a supporter of stories about finding yourself, of self-awakening, of pain and regret, of redemption...none of those things, despite the blurb of this book, happened here.
