It was a nice read, although I feel like there are some lacking pages or scenes in the story.
When the FMC was handed a letter full of prophecies (sorry, I can't think of the proper word for it), I don't remember her ever showing it to the MMC, but down the line he somehow can quote lines of the letter in the 3rd act.

Also,
there's something about the MMC being some kinda dremwalker?? Which isn't really explored further and I feel is used just to cover up plot holes or to explain certain things (talking to his old love, but it leads to nowebre aside from maybe getting over this demons? Seeing his deceased fam members via dreams?? And also that thing from FMCs grandpa?)

There are times I get taken out of the story when the FMC says things like "ew" hahaha it seems like such a modern slang to use on a historical novel. (It's weird that the author puts the accents in like "liuk" or "ya ken", but adds word like "ew".)

Overall enjoyable read, but lacks character depth and explanation.

Spoilers

English debutante marries a giant (6”9’!) Highlander for protection from a violent stalker. Grump x sunshine.

The FMC was endearing and sweet without coming across as a fool. Well. Except for the 3rd act crisis point where she runs into the mist like an idiot after spending months being careful to never be outside alone. But I guess the plot needed the push.

MMC is everything a growly, emotionally reserved warrior type should be. Plus he has vaguely mystical powers! That part was very silly but the mystical sex dreams were too fun so I can’t complain.

An enjoyable treat- I would re-read.

I liked this one the least after book 1 and 2. I think the MMC fell flat. Still love the series though!

Another winner

Another winner! Clarissa and Campbell's story was a heartfelt but steamy read! I especially loved how Mrs. Macbean's predictions were woven into the story. I can't wait for the next one!

2.5⭐️

to me a romance book hinges on interesting characters either slowly falling in love or overcoming a solid obstacle to be together and this has neither. add in an incredibly annoying meddling old lady and an abundance of written Scottish accents (ya ken?) and you get this
