This book was so touching. I loved the style of the illustrator and the plot. The two characters had their differentness but it really showed that even some people you are close with have problems and in the end things somehow work themselves out. I personally loved Cass’s character and how she cared about Megan. This was such an amazing graphic novel overall.

"A good friendship is like a work of art. When you've screwed it all up, you may wonder if trying to save it is even worth the effort. Well, take it from me: sometimes a friendship isn't just like a work of art. It is a work of art and it's worth saving. It's always worth saving."

This book is a beautiful tale of friendship and growing up, along with a wonderful take on imposter syndrome and pursuing your dreams even when your family disagrees with them.

Loved the visual art of the way the story was drawn. If we're referring to the plot of the story, I was definitely appalled when Megan did what she did. On one hand while I could understand her dilemma and worries, but my gosh, who would have thought to do THAT? Asides from that, I think this comic book is a good read for young adults that talks about the bond of a friendship that is binded by the arts and the consequences of one's actions as they grew older. Some friendships are worth saving after all.

This was an interesting graphic novel. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting but in a good way.
The art style was definitely softer than I was expecting but it had a lovely painted feel which of course matched the novel perfectly. I did wish that color had been played with more in regards to the mood of specific scenes but that is definitely just a me thing. I am a bit anal when it comes to color schemes.
The actual story was very good. I really enjoyed that it covered some deeper subjects though I do wish it had taken them a bit deeper in places. The way art was used to depict the girls feelings really worked though. It was a solid story line over all I just wish it had gone a bit deeper in place.
As a whole this was a very good graphic novel about girlhood and friendship. I enjoyed a lot of this story and most of the issues I found were just things that bothered me personally. I think this is a book plenty of other reads will enjoy.

5/5 art. Mixed feelings on the story.

Recommend if you're looking for a book about friendships, especially special summer friendships.

I seriously loved this graphic novel! The artwork was beautiful, the plot was so deep, the novel flowed very well and it was just so amazing good! I really liked the two main characters and loved their progression though the novel. The morals about friendship means so much to any age group! I loved this so much!
