emotional slow-paced

I enjoyed this one. It was a little slower-paced than the others, but I still liked it a lot. Cain and Kennedy's chemistry was so good. I also love the found family aspect throughout the series. Catherine knows how to grip you in from the beginning. Even though both Kennedy and Cain had their demons they still fell in love with one another. I also liked how in the end they trusted each other. I did not expect the twist at the end.

emotional mysterious reflective medium-paced

Well, I loved Kennedy and Cain. I really liked that Kennedy pushed back and didn’t just let Cain do everything for her like he wanted to. They found some compromises. I think I would have wanted to see more of Cain working through his traumatic past. Seeing him process it with Kennedy, rather than just having the line in the epilogue. But that may just be the therapist in me. I also feel like the storyline about Cain’s company wrapped up a little too quickly as well. And even Kennedy’s storyline felt a little too tidy. I think I wanted more. I will say, I was somewhat surprised with the reveal at the end. I, of course, loved seeing the other couples and how they were doing. Overall solid book but not my favorite in the series.

They may be my new favorite couple. Man I loved these two. First impressions are everything but when you realize how wrong you were and do everything you can to change it. So much love, he comes off so overprotective but it comes from somewhere so good! Loved every bit of their story.
