Better than Beautifully Broken Spirit. I liked the exploration of guilt surrounding the actions of parents and the effects their actions can still have on adult children. The thriller-y plotline was really good and made a ton of sense. Overall, a really good read.

Kennedy did the right thing, but a lot of people didn’t see that. And they associated her with her father.

It was terrible and she had to get away to be safe to start anew.

She meets Cain who is also haunted by his past. They help heal each other until she finds out more than Cain is willing to share.

It was ok this wasn’t my favourite in the series it's probably my least but that's ok.
On to the next.

I didn’t know how much I needed Cains story until I was reading it!!!

I have absolutely loved the Sutter Lake series!
If you haven’t read any of these stories you are missing out!! I deem Catherine Cowles the Queen of Small town Romance!

Kennedy and Cain both have secrets. Neither one was looking for anything in the other...
Will they be able to get over their pasts and have a future? Or will it ruin everything? Find out Now!
I Love every one of the characters from this series.

This series keeps on giving me great contemporary romances with a bit of romantic suspense added in. I loved the characters and their story. The only thing I wanted more of was Kennedy and Cain together. All the build up had me needing that to make this 5 stars. Great story, though! It was a quick listen -- or at least it felt like one.
