Yet another spot on volume of Noragami packed with action, emotion, and beauty. This was a great way to finish the Ebisu arc and I have got to say it was super liberating. An old Japanese tradition of shouting the deceased name from a rooftop or into a well was used to draw Yato/Yaboku (Night Diviner) out of Yomi after Bishamon went to try and retrieve him. They only learned this thanks to one of the heavenly deities giving them the hint. Yato finally cuts his ties with Stray in an effort to turn over a new leaf and it warmed my heart to see him working this way. Also him taking young Ebisu out around town was adorable and heart wrenching at the same time. Divisions are starting to show among the gods, with our core group of Bishamon, Tenjin, Ebisu, and Yato realizing that the heavens didn't kill the crafter even if that's what they believe. I'm excited to see what actions the group takes to investigate Yato's dad, who is a fellow student at Hiyori's school.

What an action packed volume. Ebisu's fate is a twisted one. Bishamonten riding to Yato's rescue doesn't go as planned but the end of this arc is pretty amazing. Without spoiling anything, it's truly a not-miss because we learn so much about Yato's past and where his future might lie. He's finally honest about his own violent nature which is at odds with his desire to help people. About the only missed notes in this is Yukine and Hiyori's attempt at lightening the mood which is rather mean spirited. I don't think it's meant to be but that sort of humor seems cruel to me. I'm looking forward to what comes next.
The art remains gorgeous and the storyline is exciting.

That was one of the best volumes so far! Good conclusion to Ebisu arc. Intense moments with Nora and Ebisu... Sweet moments with Hiyori and Yukine. Lots of feels and happy moments...Until that plot-twist. That was disgusting if you think about it. Still I am going to stop manga here, until it is finished completely. It was a really good manga and I hope I'll continue it soon.

Yato!! Teaching the children bad things lol. I'm loving learning more about him and I especially love when the panels show him as a child and it shows his loneliness and he's need for acceptance. It makes me want to cry.
Now that there's some drama among the gods the story is getting more interesting. I'm guessing our initial conflict with Hiyori won't get fixed until closer to the end? I'm starting to really like this series.

Fun and interesting
This was a fun, interesting, exciting volume. We see some things resolved, others revealed (I knew that guy was sketchy!!) and still others remain mysteries. Onto volume 11!
