Yato is still trapped in the underworld. I am more than ready for him to return. Watching Yukine and Hiyori stand around and do nothing while Yato is stuck and more or less doing nothing is getting tiresome. There is a lot of exposition on Yato, his sister, and his father, but not much else.

Yato's relationship with
SpoilerNora (the stray shinki)
is certainly something I never considered. The way Yato began idolizing and getting all clingy with
SpoilerEbisu
seemed a bit weird, but it seems to me, all and all, that
SpoilerNora and their father (Yato and Nora's) have something nefarious in mind that Yato is at least vaguely aware of but wants out of completely; that maybe he's tired of being miserable and making others miserable. Makes me wonder if a god can change and if maybe Yato won't be a god of calamity when the dust settles
.

One of the better volumes of the series. Hiyori saves Yato by figuring out his true name, Ebisu gets reborn as a cute little kid, and Yato finally chooses Yukine for good.

I am hitting the halfway point of this series, and I am not enjoying it nearly as much as I thought I would.

It is taking some unexpected turns and focuses, and getting really bogged down in deity politics.

Because I am halfway through I plan to finish the series, but I am not nearly as much invested.

Glad to see the Ebisu arc come to an end. It seems like a fitting end.

It's good to see Yato back with his friends. Loved the scene of Hiyori figuring out Yato's real name.

What a good character growth moment for Yato, where he parts ways with his stray. Yato's apathy has always been an unsettling aspect to him since volume one. Yeah, he's a deity so his long life span and exposure to death has given him a skewed sense of morality. He literally doesn't know any better, I guess?

But now he has Sekine and he's being a good influence on Yato. So that's nice to see.
