I loved every minute of this book. The magic is cool, the characters are lovely, the world is interesting. This is my favorite kind of slice of life story - daily life with humor, magic, and a tiny bit of politics and romance sprinkled in.

The only thing that I didn't love was that it felt like the ending didn't resolve things that I thought would be resolved in this book. It's a good thing I already have book 2 ready to go (:
