Was an interesting story with two murder twist! I was really shocked when you found out why "blue eyes" was getting revenge. I felt it was such pity and a really stupid reason to go after the whole family...but to each its own. It was a good, quick read though!

Mary Higgins Clark is so popular and while I agree that most of her books are easy entertaining summer reads, there are so many other authors out there in the same genre that are sooo much better!! Her recent books have been more of a chore for me to read - this may be my last

Excellent read. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. The only reason I rated this a 4.5 instead of a 5 was because I felt the ending was a little too rushed. Once the climax hit, everything finished up a bit too quick. It was almost like she rushed through the last chapter. But overall MHC did it again. Excellent book.

A very good MHC mystery

This was creepy and good. Everyone had a plausible motive for the murder at the ball, but I did suspect who it was all along. As far as the murder of Laurie's husband....that was just out of the left field.

I was really excited about this book. And the prologue really gripped me right from the start. This book had the perfect ingredients and potential to be a really extraordinary murder mystery. After the prologue, I found that I was pushing myself to keep going with this book. Finally, when the killers are revealed, I was really disappointed. Like I said, this novel had great potential ,but it never came through.
