From the very first book that I had picked up from this Author, I have loved reading everything that has come from Mary Higgins Clark. Again, she has not disappointed me, I have read a couple of other books within this series before, but having now read the very first one, it's has been made easier knowing what happened and how it had happened.
But like normal, it was a storyline which I was dragged in to and one that I could hardly put down at all. I just wanted to keep going and once I reached the end, I was completely shocked by who the killer actually was. Throughout I had been thinking that it was one person and it turned out that I had it wrong. I enjoy books that makes me think of that and that can keep me intrigued from the very first page.

Although this is a fast read and mindless, it was too predictable and the ending was abrupt. Her books are fun fun to read, but simple.

The whole premise of this was really interesting and definitely drew me in. Laurie was an interesting main character and both murder storylines were well done with a few twists and turns I never saw coming.

I stopped reading Mary Higgins Clark's books a while ago but picked up a couple recently to try. While I enjoy the fact that her books are free of sex and language, I was also really bored by this book and a little disappointed that it was so repetitive. I will check out the next book in the series since it says she had a co-writer but I am not hopeful for a better experience.
4.5 I really liked this book. I don't read a lot of crime fiction but this book was really good. I found Clark's writing style to be very pleasant and the plot interesting. I'm definitely going to continue with the series.
I've been reading MHC for years upon years, and her mysteries have never failed to thrill me. Her latest suspense novel was no exception; it has all the components of her work that I know and love - an engaging storyline, murder(s), dramatic and memorable characters, even a touch of romance. This book kept me on the edge of my seat for hours. A wonderful read. Don't miss out on this one!
