What would you do if you witnessed your son committing a murder? And then you wake up the day before it happens? It wasn't a dream either.

Would highly recommend for fans of mysteries with a science fiction twist that doesn't overly complicate the realistic fiction narrative.

I finished this book in about a week. I had seen a lot of hype about this book from Reese's book club and I was pleased with the story. There was a good amount of tension and mystery building. I was able to guess one of the twists but I gasped at other parts. I have a couple of unanswered questions or things that I feel didn't really make sense, but I still enjoyed reading this and would recommend it!

This book was a lot to get through for me. I loved the concept of the plot, but I think it was over detailed and really tricky to follow. I’m a very visual thinker, so having so many characters and aliases in the story made it really confusing to follow at times. I think many pieces could have been left out to make the story flow better and hold my attention. So many chapters I was practically falling asleep to finish. However, I think the last 50 pages are the only memorable parts of the story. There were SO many twists that it was almost too many. I wish they were more spread out throughout the book. Up until the reveal, I was like “who the heck is the Ryan guy” and would practically skim through his chapters because I was sooooo bored. Overall, it just wasn’t for me! I really wish I loved it though because the plot idea had me so intrigued from the get go 😭 I’d give it a 1.5/5 stars

the concept is very interesting: the idea that you have to time travel in order to stop a crime. it was so fascinating to watch jen go back in time to save her son. it was cool to solve the crime with her & also have the juxtaposition of ryan’s POV. it came together nicely and provided a nice background for the story.

i didn’t think there was anything shocking or any major plot twists for me. i felt that things were predictable and/or not entirely shocking. i did like that the book ended on an ominous note with there being unintended consequences.

also, the reasoning of kelly keeping his identity hidden from jen “for love” was a little cheesy, but understandable nonetheless

A solid mystery that combines crime and time travel - two things that so rarely get combined - in a, truthfully, brilliant way.

There were so many twists and turns in this one that I found myself not minding when I worked a few of them out earlier than I was probably supposed to. I found myself deeply engrossed in Jen's character development as she moved through time, especially her growth in better understanding her relationship with Todd.

The familial love and bonding is one of the central arcs that keeps you coming back. And you'll toggle back and forth between hating and loving certain characters, but I think that's what makes the writing so great! You're just right in there. Fully immersed.

Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a mystery that steps outside of regular expectations!

This book made my jaw drop! You've never read a story like it! Go in blind like I did and buckle in for the ride.

This is low key a romance story ha ha
