I didn't see any Islamophobia or xenophobia at all in this memoir; I saw a woman's frantic attempt to return home from a country in the opposite side of the world from hers, trying to abide to the rules of a culture she didn't understand and the things she endured from her abusive husband. What she writes is very courageous qand shocking, kudos to her for reliving this experience by writing it on paper.
