Loved how it all came together in a satisfying conclusion to the ordeal Zafira began in We Hunt the Flame. It was a fun ride that had each of the members we got a taste of in the first book doing even more. I was glad we got more of Zafira's sister and best friend. While she'd been off on her own adventure they'd been living and surviving on their own.
Loved all the things we discover about Nasir and Altair. I could read the banter and teasing between those two forever and be entertained. Actually pretty much Altair talking/teasing anyone.
I liked this one even better than the first. More action, more of the characters we were introduced to in the first book, more magic.

This book is amazing. I first discovered Faizal at the beginning of quarantine and devoured We Hunt the Flame. I was so psyched to get this book and nervous as I realized it would be the end of the story.

So many fantasy authors cannot deliver on the awesomeness they set up in their debut. Great news, that is not the case at all here. The ending to the story feels incredibly earned and honest and hopeful! I was so pleased. Also the book is just fun to read and the characters are amazing.

Highly recommend if you like young adult fantasy.

I loved this story.

The culture.
The magic.
The plot twists.
The character development.

I was so engulfed in this story.
From the sights and smells….
I truly felt like I was there.
The gasps and curses I let out are proof!

In the end everyone seemed to get the ending they deserved. And that may sound mean but truly it isn’t. And I was hesitant come those final few chapters! That last chapter confused me tho so if anyone has any insight I’d appreciate it.

So much fun! I got lost in the descriptions sometimes, especially during fight scenes, but I didn’t mind that much cause I love these characters. Altair my man my man fr
