I NEED MORE OF ZAFIRA AND NASIR AAAHH. So many things happened in this book omg.
I just don’t give 5 stars because of little things that happened but I loved this book anyway❤️

this was one of the best fantasy duologies to ever exist and i loved it sm (tho i liked the first book waaayyy more than the second one, but still). the zumra will always remain the most iconic group of baddies for me and Altair, my habibi, you know you'll always be the one i love the most

Good things:
1. The writing was amazing. just enough of poetic writing and not distracting from the intense plot.
2. The sexual tension between Zafira and Nasir. I love this.
3. Altair's redemption arc!
4. I find the Lion's villain's origin story was placed well. can't imagine if this portion was removed
5. 90% feministic
6. Politics making sense

I loved it. I will think about it for days to come. I cannot express the emotional rollercoaster. I have nothing to say. I am done. AHHHH

Amazing! Definitely my favourite book of the month.
Just like the first book, this one is complex and very well-thought, and just like the first book it lost me a few times.
The romance part was absolutely incredible, 100/10, I regret not annotating because there are so many quotes like made me legit scream.
Sands of Arawiya is a book saga I truly recommend!

This one took awhile to get going for me. Luckily I had a long plane ride that forced me to get through Part I, because I really liked Part II and III! Like the previous book in the series, it's a fun romp of fantasy adventure with a central group that reminds me of a good D&D comraderie. I just felt like the first part spent too much time telling what the characters were feeling instead of showing through actions, etc., and that got a bit tedious for me.

I'm not really sure why but I read it really slow. Perhaps I was just trying to be careful and not miss anything. I didn't enjoy how complicated the plot was because it was confusing. On the other hand I loved the slow-burn romance. That being said, the ending was a bit underwhelming, I would've appreciated more detail.
