Amazing!! I loved this book! The pacing was perfect! The action was spread throughout but we also got enough down time to really dive in to characters and relationships. I love the mystery surrounding the curse and uncovering new information. The way Nicole writes trauma and how the characters deal with it is beautiful. She does a great job of showing different ways someone handles trauma and I really appreciate that. I’m super intrigued to learn more and see how the next book plays out! I highly recommend reading this series!

This book was AMAZING!!!
The mystery is so so good!
There was a few times where the pace slowed down and I had to remind myself of how good the story was going get back into it, but holy crap the last 20% was just awe inspiring!!!
I can’t wait to see where this goes next!!!

This was definitely my least favourite in the series so far. I just really wasn’t invested in the romance, still having Malakai‘s perspective when he is not the love interest leaves me feeling like there still could be a possibility of a romance between him and Ophelia and honestly, Ophelia and Malakai had a lot more attention than Tolek and Ophelia do.
This book felt very final so I’m unsure where the series is going to go from here or whether I’m actually going to continue with the series. The final book in the series comes out at the end of July and I think I’ll make my decision then.
