It was a good read, but I won’t be continuing because I think the FMC is a moron
Too Safe was such an incredible book! I have been on a sports kick and I love a why-choose, bring those both together was really incredible. The spice was incredible and the writing was so easy to melt into.
Why choose, why not? It’s a favorite trope of mine. This was the audible listen for my workday today. I added this for my May hopeful reads because there’s a book coming out called So Wrong that’s the start of the series for The Boys of South Chapel and I wanted to get a feel of this authors writing.
So first, let me talk about the narration because I did listen to this on audible. For the most part, I did enjoy the female narrator there was I think two different narrators for the male or maybe three I enjoyed one of them. I couldn’t tell you which one it was, but I enjoyed one of them. So audible rating is the same a 3 stars.
OK, so as far as the plot goes… I honestly have no idea. Like, I have no idea what the point of the story is lol
I mean I’m not gonna lie. I love why choose so I loved listening to the interactions between Jo and Nick and Jo and Killian and Jo and Decker. Kendrick is an asshole but I think that’s gonna be the juiciest interaction yet. Maybe…there was nothing going on in book one between Jo and Kendrick.
I will say Hunter is a true best friend. I love homegirl she has Jo’s back like nobody’s business and truly does not judge her which I absolutely love.
So right now my favorite interaction with her is Killian. I absolutely adore him. He is my favorite right now. I know that so many people love the grumpy/sunshine or morally gray characters and I do too like I absolutely love them, but there is something about Killian that I am drawn to that wicked smart but hot body maybe a little weird (in a good way)… really does it for me

it’s so good!
I read this in one sitting, I couldn’t stop! I was so enthralled with the story of Joey, I wanted to know how it ended. I will be reading the rest of the series in one sitting because I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
It’s a good spicy why choose story!

This is book 1 in what will be a 3 book Why Choose Romance. It follows Josephine who is new at Lake Chapel University. On her first day, she meets four men & they aren’t exactly welcoming to her. Unfortunately when think she sees something she’s not supposed to, they essentially end up kidnapping her & forcing her to live with them for the entirety of the football season to ensure she doesn’t get them into trouble. What she doesn’t expect? To end up falling for more than a couple of her captors…
I’m not going to lie, I went into this book completely blind & it took a little bit for me to get into it! There’s definitely a bit of a slow burn. But by the end, I was completely hooked. This book does end on a cliff hanger, so be prepared lol. I’m already on the edge of my seat, dying to know what happens.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I loved all the characters. I can’t wait to see how their relationships develop, especially since they’re just getting started. Kylian is my favorite so far. He’s sweet & caring but then turns into this dominant, competitive man in the bedroom

I enjoyed this book.
I feel like it’s a bit hard to follow at times due to not enough backstory. Mainly we know our girls on the run from her past essentially (actually running from someone or something is the question) and she meets Locke. It goes downhill from there in terms of her freedom but it’s interesting enough to continue the series for me

Interesting Start to the Series
The MMCs believe that the FMC knows something she shouldn't, so they do all in their power to try and protect themselves, but at what cost?
What's not to love about 4 (yes 4) completely different but amazing MMCs vs a sassy FMC?
I'd say this is a slow burn, but as soon as the spice be spicing, then oh boy
