I've read these books multiple times to my boys. It is a fantastic read aloud for younger kids, and the older ones still enjoy it. We also got it on audio to listen to in the car. A sweet fantasy that is rightly a classic.

A fun and simple children's classic. The first of these tales (the original [b:My Father's Dragon|34898|My Father's Dragon|Ruth Stiles Gannett|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1320470090s/34898.jpg|3217669] ) is definitely the best of the three.

We read about 1 and a half of the 3 books in this collection. My Father's Dragon was a fun book with lots of little adventures with animals. They got bored with the second story, so we stopped reading...

This was the perfect read aloud that we all enjoyed over the long weekend! A boy ventures out to Wild Island to rescue a baby dragon, encountering lots of jungle animals and tricking them along the way.

Loved it. This was a Christmas present for Lily, and we read all the stories together in just days. It was so fun and perfectly geared to both my first-grader and preschooler. A classic, for sure

Feeling a little sad that I just read this to my last child for the first time. It's always the first chapter book I read out loud with my kids, and it feels like the end of an era. Though I'm sure she'll read it again on her own someday as my other kids did.
