I took this book out from the library and the most beautiful and heartwarming part for me is that there were notes written by various people on the very back page <3

You will laugh, you will cry, you will be filled with joy. I learnt a lot from this book, it did also help me engage with something I had yet to challenge. To have grown up under Section 28 was grim, but throughout that, there has been Love, always.

We are doomed to repeat our mistakes, this book will show what we can do when we are at our best. There were always good people and there will always be Love!

This is simply joyous when you see that love really can win.

Wow. The books gave me all the feels! A firm 5 star YA love story

I feel like the luckiest little gay finding this book amongst the stacks of ARCS at the bookstore. This unexpected find brought me so much joy it’s insane. It really still never gets old being able to read about queer lives and queer stories that reflect my own.

There are few words for how much this book meant to me. So I’ll leave it on a few words that the author Simon James Green would use.

I feel like this too. Anyone else?

Ooooooohhh the POWER of this book!!

So stunningly written, so emotively impactful and so SO important when, despite the book being set in the 1990s, there are so many topics that are still so relevant and issues that are still happening today.

As a child of the 1990s, I adored all the references - they totally took me back! The cast of supporting characters were so wonderful, especially Beth and utter ICON Mrs C!!

I also thank Simon James Green for all the Library/Librarian love ❤️❤️❤️

One of my favourite reads of 2023 so far!
