Loved the story, but the writing style wasn’t my favorite.

it took me a while to get used to the writing style because the narrator frequently address the reader, uses footnotes etc. but an absolutely heartbreaking read. I haven't stopped thinking about it and I don't think I will anytime soon

This was so good!

This book is far more eloquent than I will ever be; but in case it needs reiterating: Fuck the Tories.

The most important book you could read; especially with politics today. This book reminded me of how far we have come and how far we still have to go, but also how hard we’ve worked with setbacks through history.

I went into teaching to show that being Gay isn’t a bad thing, isn’t something to hide away or feel afraid about. I celebrate being Gay with my students and always try to show how proud I am to belong to the community. This book will be going in my classroom, and it WILL make a difference, even if it is only to one person.

Our history is important. Our young people need to know what we have fought for and what we will continue fighting for. Read this book. Celebrate this book. I wish I had a book like this in my school library when I was younger. I needed a book like this when I was younger. Green has gifted this literature to our young people and it will help so many learn, understand and fine courage to embrace themselves.

Read this book.
