Tropes: small town, age gap, firefighter single dad, grumpy sunshine, she falls first - he falls harder

Seriously obsessed with Madi and Cole 😍 they had both been hurt and left raw after their recent breakups and they made each other forget all the hurt by simply being near each other. This pulled at my heart strings because of the fact that they were so terrified to open themselves up to something new but their chemistry was undeniable from the start and they couldn’t deny it for long.

“I was tempted to keep her forever. She was beyond beautiful. She made my heart soar” 🥹😍

I LOVED the small town cozy vibes this had and all of the supporting characters made this such a fun read. Cozy Creek is what dreams are made of - if you love small town vibes with a HEA and meddling families you’ll love this. Highly recommend!

Seriously looking forward to adding more of Nora Everly’s books to my never ending TBR!

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a free arc in return for a honest review.

This book was the perfect fall, cozy read. We have single dad MMC and an FMC who was a kinda-neighbor growing up. There is an age-gap, 8 years, but they are both in their 30’s so I did not find any issue with it at all.

The FMC was coming in to town to help out her grandma who had hurt herself. She meets the dad across the street and her childhood crush comes back full force.

It is mostly a cozy romance but has some drama with the ex-wife and the kids. I do like how the two MC’d make sure to talk out their feelings and there isn’t a ton of miscommunication.

This one was just okay for me! I love a seasonal romance and really enjoyed the cozy autumnal small town setting, the tropes (age gap, firefighter MMC, lots of heavy flirting, etc.) and the characters themselves. This one just fell a little flat for me - it was a bit of an insta-love situation and was hard for me to really feel invested in them!

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Voyager for this eARC!

This was warm and charming with just the right mix of small-town coziness and slow-building sparks. The firefighter single dad and the determined heroine make for a pairing that feels steady and hopeful, and their chemistry shines brightest in the quieter moments. I liked the balance of community events, family ties, and gentle humor, all wrapped in the kind of comfort you expect from a small-town romance. If you enjoy stories where love grows alongside second chances and baked goods, this one is an easy pick.

I loved the premise of this book. Small town, single dad, who is also a firefighter??? Yes please. I wasn’t completely obsessed with the dialogue between the characters. I felt like the conversations weren’t realistic? Just word vomiting all over the place. But that being said I do love the ambiance of the book, which is what kept me reading.

I adore Cozy Creek so much. It gives great Star Hallow vibes and I am always down for that. Cole checked my single dad firefighter boxes. Top tier tropes for me. I like Madi, but felt frustrated by the whole conflict at the end. While I understand after her last relationship not wanting to wait around, but she definitely didn't give Cole time to fully digest what was happening between them. His ex did such a number on him. The kids were so great, it was nice to see older kids in this one. I think they both asked themselves a time too many if they were falling for each other. After the third time, I was like duh?? Overall it is a great cozy romance with some spice.

For a cozy fall romance, this really dragged along pretty slowly. The plot didn't really come in until way later, and the conflict was messy and unneeded. The entire story felt stilted and forced from the dialogue to the internal monologue on both sides of things. It felt a little too convenient for the FMC to have everything she ever needed in order to want to stay. Her apartment came pre furnished and with cats because her grandma just somehow knew that she wanted a cat? This book just really missed the mark in a lot of ways.
