I just loved this comic and I can't wait to get my hands on to the next one! The story was great and I liked the art also. I almost started crying several times while reading this.

this is easily one of the best bat-stories i've read up until this point. i absolutely love the characterizations of bruce, damian and alfred depicted in this. the characters were the heart of this story & as the afterword says, the villain is just the b-plot

the parallels of death in the family and born to kill in the last couple issues are beautiful. we see a desperate bruce running against time to save a son, when he's experienced a near identical situation. doubting himself and believing it's going to happen again. snapping even when he does make it in time because he's experienced it going the other way. followed by the panels of an emotionally broken batman almost breaking his moral code, but remembering why he does it all when he sees a scared, hurt little boy.

this is my batman, this is what i love about the bat family. i've been saving this run because i had a feeling i'd enjoy it & it's blown past my expectations

I really do dislike Damien Wayne as a character. With that said this was an emotional story with plenty of ups & downs. With the other “New 52” titles I’ve read I just don’t have high hopes for this series. The majority of the first volumes of what I have read is palatable, but drops off quickly into garbage. I guess we will see.

Part of my joy of reading this book came from the fact that I had to wait so long to get to it. (Dishonor on those who do not return their library books).

I'm pretty unfamiliar with Damian Wayne, but that didn't stop me from being interested in the series. Likewise, anyone else who isn't familiar with Damian or his past shouldn't shy away, because the comic does a fine job of explaining his back story through the narration (in a typical comic flashback kind of way).

While it seems like the story is about the new villain, Nobody, at the core, it is really a father/son story, and a good one at that. They don't hate each other, but they don't understand each other (spoiler, I stole that line from the comic), and that's an interesting way to take on this kind of story.

Peter J. Tomasi and Patrick Gleason write the first volume of Batman and robin after grant Morrison’s run and it’s pretty good.

Batman and robin, born to kill - Nobody comes to Gotham to get revenge on Batman by bringing Damian into the darkness and even attempting to kill him since nobody and Batman have a bad past.

My thoughts (the good and bad) - first of all I really like the relationships between Batman, robin and Alfred, I also really like Nobody because he has a really cool backstory which made me care about him and the art by Patrick Gleason was pretty good but my problem was that there were times where Damian was really annoying other than that really good.

Overall good book
