I gotta say, I liked this so much more than I ever imagined I would. I've never read anything with Damian as the focus, and I've never really wanted to--his character to me was always just "whiny little brat", and that's not what I want to read about in a Batman comic (also, Batman being a dad? Cool idea, but again, not necessarily what I want from a Batman comic).

That being said, I've certainly changed my opinion after reading this (and am now looking forward to reading more, such as Batman and Son and the rest of this series). In the first issue, he was sort of exactly how I imagined, but I actually liked that, because it allowed for so much growth throughout these six issues. The writing could have been slightly better at times, but overall, I loved the main story and the dynamic between Bruce and Damian. And that's why I bumped this up to 5 stars, just because of what it did for me--it made me really, really enjoy a character I thought I would hate.

So yeah. I guess I'm a little bit of a Damian Wayne fan now. Who would've thought?

I don't like Damian Wayne. The few books that I have read featuring him are among my least favorite Batman stories. He doesn't seem to be intended as a likeable character, but it can be pushed a bit too far.

That being said, this is a great showcase of both how different and similar Bruce and Damian are. Bruce seems to struggle a bit more imparting his values on Damian than I remember with other Robins.

The writers made an excellent choice for NoBody as the villain. His attempt to break up the Waynes moves the story along. Bruce has to face the very thing he tries to hide from his son and risks losing everything.

I'm interested in seeing how the rest of the batman and robin stories go.

Damian is such a hard character to understand, and I doubt many people like him, but I really like him as Robin.

I just loved this comic and I can't wait to get my hands on to the next one! The story was great and I liked the art also. I almost started crying several times while reading this.

love damien, but i think sometimes it relies on action over moving forward the plot or character development/reveals. it also relies to heavily on twist

Strong start, weak finish. Seems to be par on the new 52.

One of the best series since its first (Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely's Batman and Robin) .... The Batman line is the only one (from the new 52) that continued from its previous storyline started by Grant Morrison after Final Crisis ... I enjoyed Patrick Gleason's artwork and its flow ... looking forward to Vol. 2
