Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for providing this book, with my honest review below.

The Wedding Menu was sweet romance that was so incredibly inventive in how it was structured that I felt I was an archaeologist in Amelie’s story - and that’s a great thing. Opening up to Amelie’s friends wedding a year ago, we see her meet cute with Ian while she informs him about how her other best friend and her are on the ours due to her friend stealing her wedding. Only issue we have here? Amelie isn’t engaged to her boyfriend of 15 years though she desperately wants to be (yes, I know, how and why was this woman in such delusion she clearly expressed her desire to marry and yet is still by this guy’s side?). Sooo her friend stole her dream wedding idea, which is the total opposite of her style, and meanwhile Amelie is on tenterhooks waiting for a guy to propose who is instead buying cock rings for himself. Yep.

Obviously with that type of opening, and sweet Ian’s support and successful to make the night fun, I was eager to see what happened next. But we are instead fast forwarded to present day and know that nothing has good has happened in the months since, and in fact some terrible things. The back and forth between past and present is so engaging that it felt every flashback was a tantalizing morsel that was just teasing me about all the events I was dying to know about.

It all comes together, but I love when my romances introduce mysteries in untraditional ways, and The Wedding Menu masterfully did that. If you want to be hooked, read this one, but do it when you have a full day to power through, otherwise it’s all you’ll think about!

Letizia Lorini really did it this time: she wrote the perfect romcom!

Oh my goodness, I hardly know where to begin. The Wedding Menu was incredible, and I am so grateful to have been a part of the ARC Team! This book deserves all of the success that I know it’ll have after it’s official release tomorrow (Sep. 15th).

You’ll love this book if you love:
- A deliciously slow burn romance
- Cheesy pick-up lines
- A frustrating but addictive amount of drama
- Friends to lovers trope
- A golden retriever of a MMC
- Dual timeline, that beautifully merges together at the end
- Laughing out loud while you read
- Also, getting a bit emotional while you read
- When both of the main characters literally deserve the world (Ian & Amelie are precious to me!)
- Spice that makes it hard (pun intended) to read in public

6 stars!!!

i read “desserts for stressed people” in march and just knew letizia was one to watch! but thisssss book is on another level. automatically an auto buy author and rocketed to my favourite authors list. this. was. so. amazing. this is one of my favourite books i’ve read in a long time!!

the thing about these 2 books in the series so far - there’s a plot, that out of context might make you go what?!? but when you actually read it, it’s the best thing you’ve ever read and you are gobsmacked you could love the thing you questioned earlier

*I received this book as an arc for an honest review, so thank you Letizia!*

This was actually a really cute and fun read! The cover itself drew me into this book and it did not let me down

I really don't know how to rate this one - reluctant to give it 2 stars because I really liked for a good chunk of the way but it also feels too generous to give it 3

I guess in the end this book was just... the wrong thing on the (wedding) menu for me
emotional hopeful sad tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Complicated
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Found this frustrating at points I hate the miscommunication trope it made made cry angry 😡 good it made me feel things I did prefer book 1 to this I found the main characters so frustrating at times. Amelie made so many dumb decisions that messed up her life I wanted to hit her and say babe you know you don’t have to put up with this her boyfriend sucks I would kicked his ass out way sooner than she did I’m not putting up with his shit. Her best friend needs to get her head out of her ass and do better. Ian’s father sucks and Ian’s ex is a bitch I liked Ian but he still annoyed me at times. Think this love story was bit too slow burn too much set in the past for me don’t think this book needed to be this long either.

Great read! I couldn’t put it down. I loved all the tension and buildup. This is my first time reading from this author and now I can’t wait to find other books she has written.
